What It is
The LAB is an ongoing weekly workshop where people who have taken either a 6-week course or an Intensive can finish their script under the guidance of the instructor and receive feedback from an intimate group of other writers. It’s also a place to rewrite an existing script, workshop an outline, or build out the idea for your next project.
How it works
Limited to 6 writers, each member of the LAB can submit up to 20 script pages per week (or an outline) and will receive feedback from the instructor and the other writers every week.
There is no formal instruction in the LAB, but each session is packed with case-specific lessons, as we go through and discuss the week’s submissions.
Membership
Membership in the LAB runs in 4 week cycles. Once accepted, you can stay in for as few or as many cycles as you’d like.
*Completion of an NYSL Workshop or Intensive is required to join the lab.
